EIGHT DAYS OF SPECTACULAR BIRDING ACROSS JAMAICA

Birding in Jamaica for a week, does give enough time for birders to see all of Jamaica's 30 endemic birds.
It is encouraging to know that during the winter months, Jamaica hosts over three hundred (300) species of birds. These include its thirty (30) endemic species, migrant species, resident species and vagrant species. Therefore, this spectacular 'Jamaica Birding Tour,' take persons to the most bird-flocked habitats of Jamaica. Interestingly, it is two days longer, than our six days birding tour of eastern Jamaica. Having these two additional days, actually allow more leisurely birding.
For this reason birding with more leisure, will allow persons to have timely and close-up views of large numbers of Jamaica's rare birds within a eight (8) days period. In addition, this seven (7) nights eight (8) days birding holiday, is designed by the vacation and activity planners of Attractions Link Tourism Services to afford birdwatchers the opportunity to enjoy bird watching in Jamaica. They will also experience the joy of viewing even a half of the over three hundred (300) species of birds which are present during the cooler months.
After visiting the top habitats of Jamaica such as the Cockpit Country, Ecclesdown Road and Hardwar Gap, Helshire Hills plus other newly discovered bird-flocked areas, the participants of this highly rated bird watching adventure, will be more than happy after eight days of spectacular birding. Similar to our other multi day birding tours, this 'Jamaica Birding Tour,' is organized to use accommodation sites that are closer to the habitats which will be visited.
Under these circumstances, the driving time between the various birding habitats. and the various accommodation sites which are chosen to provide hospitality for our birders, will be significantly shorter. Convincingly, this idea also enables precise arrival time in these hot spots and decreases the possibilities of missing important target species.
YOUR ITINERARY IN PICTURES
BIRDING TOUR ACROSS JAMAICA
After your arrival in Montego Bay, we will meet and greet you, then transfer you to your place of accommodation, near to the first bird habitat which you will visit. If you arrival on the Island is early, we could spend some time near the coast or nearby areas for birding before dinner time. Also, it is possible to do some mid to late afternoon birding aroung the lovely gardens of your hotel, before retreating for dinner. Dinner and overnight in Runaway Bay.
NORTHERN COCKPIT COUNTRY
Early morning departure with packed breakfast for birding in the Northern Cockpit Country. We will bird until mid day, then depart for northeastern Jamaica. We will do additional birding and have lunch on rout. Dinner and overnight in northeastern Jamaica.
NEARBY FORESTS & GARDENS
After your first and second day of travelling, it would be good to sleep in a little bit, have breakfast at our lodge, then do some mid to late afternoon birding in the gardens of our lodge or nearby forests, befor having dinner.
LOWER JOHN CROW MOUNTAINS
Early departure from our place of accommodation with a packed breakfast, for birding in the forests of the lower John Crow Mountains. We will have breakfast in forests. Lunch on a beach, before returning to our lodge for late afternoon birding. Dinner and overnight in northeastern Jamaica.
UPPER JOHN CROW MOUNTAINS
Early morning departure with a packed breakfast. We will do our Birding and have breakfast in forests, then return to our lodge for lunch. Enjoy swimming pool, relax, then optional late afternoon birding before dinner. Dinner and overnight, will be in northeastern Jamaica.
NORTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS
Today, we will have breakfast at our place of accommodation, then pack our bags and leave northeastern Jamaica, for the northern Blue Mountains. Birding and lunch on rout. Dinner and overnight will be in the northern Blue Mountains.
NORTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS
Early morning birding in the gardens of our mountain lodge before breakfast. After breakfast, we will visit nearby forests, then return to our mountain lodge for lunch. After lunch, we will have the option of going to other forests or the gardens of our lodge. Dinner and overnight will be in the northern Blue Mountains.
CENTRAL BLUE MOUNTAINS
Today, marks our eight and final day of our tour. Departure time from our lodge, will depend on flight departure times out of Kingston. If possible, we could look around the gardens before leaving or do some birding while going down the southern sloops of the Blue Mountains. We could even visit the dry-forests of southern Jamaica, before going to the airport.
TRANSFER TO KINGSTON
At the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston, our eight days 'Jamaica birding tour' has comes to an end. Thanks for joining us on this spectacular birding adventure.

EIGHT DAYS JAMAICA BIRDING TOUR
ACCOMMODATION AND MEALS
Our first dinner, bed and breakfast on this tour, will be at a three stars economy class hotel in Runaway Bay. Unfortunately, we will only have one night here being that this hotel is only thirty minutes (30min) from the main forests in the northern Cockpit Country, which we will do our first morning's birding. Hospitality here is excelent. Their meals are great, and their services are marvelous.
ACCOMMODATION
After a long traveling from your home to Jamaica or from other parts of Jamaica to join the tour in Montego Bay, your rest prior to your birding week should be comfortable. Enjoy a spacious, clean and comfortable room which you may want to return to after your birding tour.
ACCOMMODATION
Our second, third, fourth and fifth nights will be in a spectacular lodge type accommodation which is located within thirty minutes (30min) from all major habitats in northeastern Jamaica.
WITH DELICIOUS MEALS
On this segment of our eight days birding tour, we will be having breakfast at the lodge on the morning of the third day. Other mornings, we will be taking a packed breakfast wit us to the forests. We will have some lunch here. However, we will have all dinners here during our stay.
PROLONGED PEACE AND REST
At this accommodation site, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. Here, the average birder will feel at home after a long day in the fields. This will give them the boost they need for the following day. You can call the Jamaican Owl to nearby trees which are close to your windows at nights.
NORTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS
After having five nights in the lower regions of northern Jamaica, we turn our eyes to the high mountains which will take us across Jamaica, on this magnificent birding tour. We will be having two nights in one of the best places to be if you are in for rare birds.
WHILE YOU ENJOY THE VIEW
Having a cup of coffee, tea, or even our whole breakfast. Sitting on the terrace will be ideal; as we will have constant visits from various garden birds like the Jamaican Oriole, Orange Quit, Banana Quit, Jamaican Stripe-headed Tanager and surprisingly, the Rufus-throated Solitaire and the Red-billed Streamer-tail Hummingbird.
DINING
It will be hard for you to believe that we will only be spending two nights here! We will have two dinners, two breakfasts and possibly two lunches here, before departing the northern Blue Mountains, for the airport.
COMFORTABLE SLEEP
Spectacular accommodation. What more could we want? It is going to be hard if we try to compare our first night on this tour, with our last two nights. For this reason let us think about our next time here. Before we know it, we will back again.
